Postdoctoral Position in Fiber-Optic Sensors and Devices, University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL) 2011
Applicants are sought to fill a postdoctoral position in the area of fiber-optic sensors and devices, in the Department of Electrical Engineering at University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Lincoln, Nebraska, USA.


The successful applicant will conduct research on the development of fiber-optic sensors and devices and their applications in structural health monitoring and biochemical detection. The ideal candidate should have a Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering, Optics, Applied Physics, or other closely related fields. Prior experience with fiber-optic devices for sensing applications, fiber gratings, optical biosensors, and microstructured fibers is strongly recommended.
